Loneliness

Loneliness is black

It tastes like black beans

Loneliness is slimy

              and smells like stinky flowers

Loneliness sounds like a scary

            wolf howling and it's coming

Loneliness is night in the trees

It makes a circle around me and

            I can't get out

The Eagle

My teacher is a great owl

and I am an eagle sitting

on the strong tree branch

I learned to fly from my teacher

I taught the great owl

to soar in the wind

The Rainbow

I'm a shine in the sky

after a storm

I'm a spirit of color

and beauty

I'm a rainbow

The Lost Kitten

I had a kitten but she got lost

She was mine but then she was gone

I was sad and I gave my sadness

to my friend but she did not like it

She gave it back

When I lost my kitten I was very sad

So was my mom

But I gave my sadness away

and I found my kitten

and I took my sadness back

and put it

in the river

When I had no eyes...

When I had no eyes

I used the sun to guide me.

When I had no sun

I used the land to watch me.

When I had no land

I used the sky to feed me.

When I had no sky

I used a star to play with.

When I had no star

I used the moon to put me

to sleep.
