The river follows

the rocky mountain.

It waters all the plants.

It makes the dirt

jump out of its place.

The river goes

through the jungle.

The water gets

colder and colder.

The animals keep

drinking and drinking

until they don't want

to drink anymore.

The river flows

into the ocean.

The river is finally home.

Where the river

can take the sun.

The Hunt

I pull out my firearm

From beneath my bed where it lay.

I grab my hat and sweater

As I take my first step outside

My heart beats like a buffalo stampede.

Now I hunt.

As I hike up the hill

I anticpate that a deer

will be right around the corner.

As I round the bend I discover

I am right.

The Hunt continues.

I stare in awe,

Take in the beauty of this beast

For what seems like an eternity.

Coming back to reality

I raise my weapon

Taking the reality of this beautiful beast once more

I fire...

The Hunt goes on.

I watch as the animal

collapses as it is stripped

Of its very soul.

As I stroll over

to the downed animal

I feel numb.

When I finally reach the beast

I thank God

That it did not suffer.

The Hunt is over.

Nature

I see the sky struggle from the rain

My anger is the clouds that cover the sky

Silent the sky stays.

Sun giving light to the world

My happiness is the plant that observes the light.

Silent the sun stays.

Water giving us life.

I feel selfish.   I could do that.

And silent the river stays.

The world supporting us.

My sadness is how we're killing it.

And silent it stays.

Deserted

The silent tundra

Whispering secrets

None that you shall know

Ice so cold it burns

Wind caresses your cheek

Softly you sleep

Sky dark purple velvet

Stars winking pearls

Moon your protector

Snow so soft

Cotton to your touch

Resting on clouds

Softly you sleep

Dream your dreams

Eternal rest and peace

Heaven found

Life complete

Softly you sleep

Forever.

So vastly huge is the sky.

It wraps around me like a patchwork quilt.

The clouds creep across the blue

and the sun takes shelter behind them.

So vastly huge is the sky.

I feel its breath across my face.

Its silence is loud.

It rolls across the backs of mountains.

So vastly huge is the sky.

Its power rains down upon us,

as it stretches on forever.

You cannot escape it.

So vastly huge is the sky.

It watches down.

It never sleeps.

It never moves, yet goes everywhere.

Craziness!

In a bright hot pink room

Green polka dots fill my eyes, big, small,

The room looks smaller as I get closer.

The numb light in the warm room.

The rubix cube confusing me,

I hear ticking: tic, toc, tic, toc.

Pink nail polish spilling in the corner.

Ripped fish net tights lathering in the green paint.

Sharp edges

Milkshake fountain

Snow in the middle of the desert

Locked doors can't find my way

Hoping I will wake up.

Sad is smooth like the water that falls from your eyes.

It's blue like the water in the ocean.

A blue wolf is sad because he doesn't have any love.

The wind smells like strawberries.

The birds are sad.

The birds sing blue songs like the sky and the water.
