The Busy Cats

I am a cat prowling in the grass
Looking for my dinner of mice
Going up the tall tree to catch a bird and her babies
I walk into my house and I hear a cat cry.
I see a canary. I wished that I could eat it.
It was a girl canary.
I went back outside and got a drink of water.
I caught a rat and I ate it.
I met a friendly cat.
I caught the bird nest and had a feast
with my friends.
Then I had kittens.

The Puddle

I come home at the end of school
I play outside
We see a big puddle
It’s always there
Mud and algae
brown and green in the puddle
When I have my boots on
I go in the puddle
I stomp in the mud
It makes splashes
Splish, Splash.

Things That Happen at My House

Where I live there is a kingfisher that sits on a post
until it sees a fish
Then it jumps in
In the night frogs croak
Redwood trees sway in the wind
Rain goes pitter patter on the roof and the wind roars loudly
In the morning ducks are swimming in the pond
Blossoms are popping up on fruit trees.
Bear are walking through the woods
as they take a step, the leaves crackle.
Bobcats chase chickens.

When I’m Tired

When I’m tired
I can’t think
My head feels like a big block
Rolling down a
mountain, or it is getting
hit by a hammer, or
I’m cuckoo
and I hit a
rock wall.

Waterfalls

My secret place is in the woods
I see a rabbit
I see a blue and red duck
I see quail
and I see nightingales
and I see a squirrel eating nuts
It smells like clean air.

When Does the Rainbow Dance?

When does the rainbow dance?
It dances as the orange sun shines,
as the white moon makes the midnight light.
When does the rainbow dance?
It dances as the white horse runs
as the blue peacock flies.
When does the rainbow dance?
As you taste the yellow, lovely lemon,
as you taste the green kiwi.
When does the rainbow dance?
As you smell the wind blow.

The Rainbow

rain and sun become the rainbows
rain and sun become a song
rain and sun become a beautiful world
Inside is the world of you
You can know your world
because your world is you
Your world is here
You can see it in your mind
That is you.
