The Moon is Always There

My moon is an

Eagle's sharp

eye staring

lovingly

at me.

The moon is like a

blinding red diamond

glittering in the

moon light.

The moon is a

flaming flame

in

a fireplace.

The moon brings juicy

mangos in May

bringing joy and

happiness to the

animals.

The moon takes hatred

and madness away

and replaces it

with laughter.

Bubbles in the Deep

The bubbly bubbles

of a flowing river

I dive down

and down

I see fish flowing by

Dolphins rolling by

I pick one up

and take a ride.

My Grandma, the Wild Horse

If my grandma were an

animal she would be a horse,

a wild horse. My grandma is

a horse in the wild, dancing

in the wind. She is black and

brown and had six kids. She

passed away, but her kids are still

running in the wind.

Now she looks down at me from

the sky, watching over me.

My grandma is always with me

in my heart. I will always love

my grandma. I cry a river with

my eyes and fall asleep still

thinking about her.

Peace is the Air and Wind

Peace is

like the sky in

the air

like the wind and

the deep blue sea

the whales make a beautiful sound

the fish are quiet and

the air

is quiet too, like dolphins

are noisy

with their sounds

Peace is like the

clouds moving

in the sky

and the clouds are white

in the sky

the birds tweet and fly

quietly

they fly in a

circle

and so do you.

Africa

I wish to go to Africa, and have the

lions protect me, have the cheetahs

hunt food for me. The elephants keep

me company. The zebras make a

house for me. The buffalo charges

at anything dangerous that gets too close.

The antelope make a bed out of grass. The

bushbuck gets water for me. The hyenas

eat the rest of the food. The giraffe gets

fruit from the trees. And the birds fly in

the sky and watch for danger.

The Palace

            Take me away

into the sky

            where mountains

look like pebbles

            and

                        where gods

roam free

                        and at night

one must

            be careful for Zeus'

arrow of

            lightning.

So dear friend,

            take me away.

Til' our

            dreams fill

our minds.

My Hand Is A Thunder Bolt

My hand is a thunder bolt.

It

   is

        a

              storm

                 when

                        I

                           get

                              mad.

It is like a really strong thunder

bolt. When people are asleep it

shatters through the sky.

It flies into the night it also makes

everybody scream. It's like a

clock waking everybody up.

It sees

            every

                        thing

                                    I

                                         see.

Fire Orange

Fire orange love the color she is.

Her hair is like a flame.

All her friends call her Fire.

She wears a fiery fringed coat

            an orange shirt

and an orange skirt.

Fire orange is glad for who she is.

Moss Green the Mystical

Green may be envious

but not in all

            worlds

In some worlds moss green

            is sacred

the hero of colors

balancing, calming

proficiently helping

            flow joy

throughout colors

Scintillating bright

moss green is joyful

though may look sad

that's it's outer cover

moss green is vivacious

            sparkling bright

If you are too mean

mossy green might bite

Moss green is a helper

of flowing joy

Not just to the colors

            to the world

            and beyond

Audacious and sweet

moss green

does not understand meanness

for never a soul

with a mean heart

enters the serenity filled

            world

where moss green's

heart is

Moss green is mist

floating in an empty forest

Moss on an old log

'tis a trillium in a fog

glistening pure

with mellifluousness

In This Moment of Peace

            In this moment of peace

a purple sea-colored dress

flows swiftly above the waves of

the ocean.

            In this moment of peace

a lion cub plays with

its brothers and sisters.

            In this moment of peace

a clarinet sings through

the valley, the ocean, the mountains,

and me.

            In this moment of peace

I'm sitting here with my jacket

wrapped tightly around me, by a

waterfall, a single star above me,

a mossy seat for myself, a strawberry

patch for me to enjoy, and everything

is silent,

very silent.

Time Machine

In a second everything

            will change, but I

want to savor this moment

            so come here, time machine.

I need you to pause time

            so I can remember

this moment, when the sky is blue

            and the jaguars play.

Time machine, I want to

            remember, not just this

moment, but this day.

You'll Never Find Me

Find me looking up at the stars

in the eye of a tornado.

Find me drawing my house key

so I can find it.

Find me riding my horse while my

heart beats into the night sky.

Find me following swallows

into the clouds.

Find me on a train to nowhere, and

that's where I'll always be, nowhere.

Escaping Life

Soaring through

the air, up high,

watching the process

of life take shape

and change,

knowing that I am

serenely floating

like a feather

on the wind.

Nothing changing

but life, down below

I am free,

flying,

watching everything go on

below me.

Flapping my majestic wings,

I fly,

back to Earth,

though it is only my soul,

seeing these wonders,

My soul,

the golden eagle,

coming back,

to me.

Life returns.

The Broken Friendship Star

The friendship star is broken

It reminds me of my friendship

My friends and me are the triangle stars.

The friendship star is in the middle.

When my friendship was gone

our diamond star shaped

bracelet ripped

then the friendship star broke

the triangle stars were

separated

then the friendship star

exploded.

It was bigger than millions of suns

or even bigger than millions

of suns and moons put together.

It seemed like an earthquake,

Tsunami, hurricane, and a volcano

occurring at the same time.

All I have to do is wait

until a friendship star forms

When it forms I'll get new friends.

When that happens the triangle

stars once will be together again

All that will be like a rainbow with

all the different colors together

Dark and Scary Night

The puppies running away from the dark night.

The leaves hiding from the dark scary night.

The otter swimming away from the darkness.

Fort Bragg is darking out.

The vanilla ice cream hiding inside its box.

The guitar playing sad songs.

Jupiter crying, its heart broken from the scariness.

Hummingbirds flying south, from the ugliness.

over there is nice.

The moon blocking the sun,

to make a dark and scary night.

Broken Glass

millions of pieces,

beauty

millions of pieces,

bright

millions of pieces,

broken

millions of pieces,

scattered

millions of pieces,

sweet

millions of pieces,

loud

millions of pieces,

sad

millions of pieces,

sprinkles

millions of pieces,

like ants working together.

A L O N E

loneliness is silence

loneliness is a dark

quiet forest

loneliness is a tear

running down your cheek

loneliness is only one bird

flying

in the sky

with a thousand clouds.

Look For Me

Look for me

at my old

house at

my old home.

Who I am,

I changed

I'm different

I am not

the same.

Don't look

for me here

this is not

where I am.

Part of me

at my old

home part of

me here.

Tengo Sueños del Sol

You soy la luna azul

yo soy como una flor

Quiero la naturaleza

Tengo sueños del sol

Mi nombre es como el arbol

tengo tu corazón.

I Have Dreams of the Sun

I am the blue moon

I am like a flower

I love nature

I have dreams of the sun

My name is like a tree

I have your heart.

Right Now

Right now,

a flower bud reveals the flower that has been inside all this time

right now

a small child celebrates his birthday

the day his sweet face lay eyes on the world

right now

an eager butterfly waits to come out of its lonely shell

and show the world its beauty

right now

a baby dolphin leaps out of the water for the first time

ready to take on all the new challenges of the harsh world

right now

a father sits in his jail cell waiting, waiting,

to get out to see his children

right now

anything can happen.

Home for You and Me

I can see a blue planet

surrounded by sparkling water

Land full of creatures

plants for us to eat

Flowering plants that make

it a wonderful land.

Heat form the sun

Light from the moon

for the dark night

It is called Earth

Home for you and me.

Shyness Everywhere

Shyness hides from confidence

Shyness is a mouse hiding from a cat

Shyness says I can't do it

Shyness doesn't let you speak up

Shyness is not the center of attention

Shyness is usually quiet

Shyness gets swept away from the

brave side

Shyness has a hard time getting

to the brave side

Shyness is afraid of the open world

It is 0900 hours at

night. Weapons. Soldiers.

Helicopters shooting from the sky

Missiles drop

Grenades thrown, so

many bullets falling on

the ground. Some hurt.

Some do not survive.

Helicopters fall from the

sky.

Soldiers jumping out

of the helicopter. Heavy

gunners hiding behind a

tree. Snipers on hills

thousands don't come

back. Hundreds of them

survive. Lots of destruction

during the war.
