My Broken Soul
My soul is like a cony truck
in the street being chased by cops
just because of a broken windshield.
My soul is like a deer being chased
by hunters trying to stop me in my tracks
Why must dyslexia try to stop
me in my tracks?

Problem Solver
My life is a silver field with music
flowing through the air.
The ocean washes up new
problems and controversies.
I surf the waves of problems and ride
them until they are conquered.
When more waves rush over me I feel a relief
and then I wash ashore, back to the field,
with the name of Problem Solver.
My life is a silver field, my surfboard
in my hand. Ready to ride more waves.

Where the Windows Never Open
Loneliness lives
in a dark cold house
where the windows never
open and the walls will never
see the sun. Loneliness
is always by herself.
When she goes to bed
she dreams
of having
someone
to be
her friend.
Loneliness wonders,
Will I die alone
in my cold house?
Will anyone care?

I Know of a Place
I know of a place
where the fireflies lead you
into an amazing new world
I know a place
where no one is left behind
and everyone is treated equally
I know a place
where triumph
is everywhere
I know of a place
where there is no
evil
I know of a place
where the grasslands
roll on forever
I know of a place
where the moon is loved
just as much as the sun
I know of a place
where every season
is the same and never changes
I know of a place
where the gardens are as vast
and as large as the trees
This place is in my brain
which has no limit
to how much
I stuff into
it

Untitled
peace is a periwinkle butterfly
taking wind to heal the world
deep and wide you see magic
when you are free to fly
so hold on tight
and don't look down
you're in for a wild ride

I Come from a Place, a Place...
I know of a place where
imagination is the limit
where beds are
the color of buttermilk
where the soft blankets
cover my frozen feet
as I dream in rooms of
periwinkle and yellow
I know of a place
called my dream
house where I live
with my family
and sleep in
beds of
Buttermilk.

Ugliness
Ugliness only exists in the soul
Ugliness is only in those who are mean
Ugliness is in those who only care for vanity
Ugliness is not visible on your face
Ugliness is felt in your heart
Ugliness is optional

Peace
Don't you wish
that one day
there would be
no more wars?
Don't you wish
there could be
nothing but
Peace around
the world?
Well I do wish
there could
be Peace and
that all the kids
who don't have
families could
have families
and everyone
could be happy,
that immigrants
could have Peace
that they wouldn't
get taken away
from their families.
Right now families
are being torn up, kids
are separated from
their families
so why can't we just
have Peace and let
everyone live with
their families?
That's what I think
about Peace.

Misplaced
When I had no eyes, I used the eagle to guide me
When I had no eagle, I'd sit around
Waiting for an answer to call out to me
But when I got no answer I curled up in fear and despair
When I heard a bear call out, I felt happy and glad
But when I finally got my eyes back from the god of misfortune
I felt scared and misplaced for I had no ears
When I had no ears, I didn't know what to do
When I didn't know what to do, I let my body drift
In the breeze of despair for I had no life to see and feel

Acid Dancing
for the acid that is burning
inside me
I dance to get rid
of the pain
I flow like the leaves
in the summer wind
my lace from my dress
looks like the light going through
the summer leaves
I dance and flow and
sing with the wind as it
passes me through the soft
pile of fur and silk
in the middle of a
blazing beautiful desert as I
dance with the cactus
with the sharp but soft spikes
I dance to get rid
of the pain

The Great Dragon
I am a dragon of china
my light grows like a crystal.
Wondering what kind of dragon I am.
I fly and fly to get to my destination.
But I don't know what I am.
So I stop then my light stops to glow.
A little girl comes and says,
you are my light, my life, don't go.
So I figure I am light so
I start to glow like the sun.
