Sincere Lips

It doesn't interest you

a stranger to this noise

a stranger to green harmony of longing

the stanza disjointed

Full phrases diss

gruntled

diss loud conflict

in full effect

I want to fill this noisy place with smooth

Concentrated melody

I want inspiration to glow like halos

gilded about each

conscious being

It doesn't interest me these jibs jabs jibes joy mundane fruit

of soulless grins

I want enchanted language to ripple sweet succulent syrup

into the minds of nay sayers and mongers of grief

Re-use the knocks of stiff uppers

to languid smiles of sincere lips

I want to re-kindle nourishment to a billowy blaze of orgasmic ever blooms

That each babe might flourish in evolutionary glory

It does not interest me

Who you might

Think you are

I want to know

Who you

Be

A new love between the rocks and the sea

Waves.

The sound of splashing waves on the cold sea rocks.

How the wave always tries to press itself against the rocks,

but never gets close

It always tries and never gives up

The deep water seeing how the rocks reject it but it never

gives in

It tries

The wind comes to the blue waters but this is not enough

This cool tide only the rocks

This splashing water loves the feel of the cold rocks

Splash, swish, whoosh

That is the sound of a new love between the rocks and the

sea

Bagel-y; Better; and Bittersweet Strawberry

Mona walked down the street, headed for the bagel store

Bagels were Mona's favorite food

Along with chocolate-chip pancakes

and watermelon bubblegum

and tangerines (so cheap and juicy)

Okay, so maybe they were pretty high up there

Especially if you toasted it and put

peanut butter on it

Mmm, perfection.

So, Mona was on her way to the bagel store

Not a place you would normally go

Unless you were craving a bagel

which Mona was

Obviously

Otherwise

she wouldn't be thinking

about bagels

Durr

Bagel is a funny word. Like a doily.

She opened the door to the bagel store

and breathed in.   It smell so ...

bagel-y.

Mona was also pretending that she was from

the distant planet

Moogle norkistanahali, where

you pronounce everything exactly the way it's spelled

You don't believe it exists?

look it up on wikipedia

or something.

She got to the counter, and placed her order

"I'd like-ee one eh-gah-gah bah - gle with cream cah-heese, please?"

The

cashier didn't think

it was funny

Mona was about to collapse from holding in her laughter

"Do you want it toasted?"

"No I'm okay." Sicker snicker

Everybody knew Mona, so it was hard to get away with anything interesting. Like this.

She glanced down at her striped feet.

Stripy socks would never go out style

She wiggled her toes

This was so much more rewarding than normal, solid socks

Yes, stripy socks were Mona's trademarks

Mona Lisa Smile

The light plays across the folded ripples of her sleeves

Skitters over her throat and bounces onto her face

Dances with the shadows at the corners of her eyes

And finally is absorbed into the surrounding dark

She smiles in the light, but her eyes, cupped by silent shadows, mourn

Like dark globes of chocolate cast upon white moons, they weep without tears

The dry phantom droplets bounce against her veil

Slip down her full cheeks

And fall soundlessly away

And all the while the road behind her slips away to places she can never go

Past the blurred mirages of blue lakes and muted trees

So she folds her sun-drenched hands against the dark velvet of her skirt

And smiles

Smiles a smile that's hardened by dry cracked paint

Immortalized by a few bush strokes against the canvas of her life
