The Lagonfly

I am half dragonfly and half lion
the king of the beasts
and as light as the grass in the breeze
as fierce as a dragon breathing fire
and as playful as a child
I feel on living emotions
and crave the depths
of the soul of the bottom of the ocean
I hear and smell through my skin
and I'm as soft as a rose
my complexion as clear as water
with stripes of every color
my mind is as clever as a computer
and I think like a turtle
I am the Queen of the beasts
kind hearted and afraid
I am the lagonfly

Untitled

Your fingers touch me
throw me
break me
use me
I have no choice
but to do what you please
I'm important to you
but you treat me unjustly
and when I get dull
you pull out a blade
and make me rigid and sharp
I destroy your mistakes
start your beginnings
and help you dot your i's
once and awhile I wish
you'd give thanks to me
the pencil at your side

Perfection

Skinny legs
bigger breasts
is all they want to see
tiny waists and thinner arms
are the opposite of me
The pressure to be perfect
is slowly closing in
and utter suffocation
that doesn't seem to end
Society is telling me
beauty is thin
And if I choose to
starve myself
perfection is what will win
Shoving something down my throat
will give me what I don't want
Bring me closer to my goal
even if I know it is wrong

Untitled

he falls to the ground
puts his head in his hands
his mind keeps spinning and won't ever slow down
his spirit rises from the ground
into the sky on the ultimate high
he tries to touch his feet to the ground
to feel the solid earth once more
but the harder he tries to feel the ground
the closer he gets to the clouds
is this just a dream
or is he really rising into the sky
and leaving everything behind
stop. stop it. right now
why am I leaving
what have I done to deserve this
why do I have to go.

Goldfish

To me there are living
to you they are snacks
a cheesy wonder
waiting just inside the box
call me crazy
but they speak
they speak of their former life
they tell me tales
adventures
and their end
they were captured
sprayed with cheese
packaged tight
within a box
they are the living
we are not

The Shadow Cat

I am the shadow cat
I creep across the wall
]I eat air and smell
turn my nose up at mice
I wear a suit made of water
and a hat made of ostrich eggs
I live in a castle made of chocolate
I don't cower   before dogs
they cower before me
and as they run
I jump and bite their scruff
and eat them for my supper
water is my friend
and the dolphin is my ear
I am the shadow cat

The Magical Bird

I am a magical bird
I have fluffy, furry feathers
I eat air and drink water
I sleep in the moon
and come out in the day
I sound like the rain
when it hits your roof
I feel like a cloud on a hot day
I am the opposite of a vulture
I puff up when I get cold
and my tail is like a fan

Dear Sun

You are there and everywhere
I see you on Sunday
I lay in you
you are sunny and funny
I stare at you till I'm blind
please come stay for some wine
I think about you
then I see you
you make me sleep
and you go away
ah sun, come for at least a day
I like the color you are
you're never another
don't leave till you see me

The Spooky Dog Dream

Hellow
my name is dog food tail
I like to---ahhhhhhh---oh no
please not the
sniff box cage monster!!!!!
I ran to the deadly bowl of water
it tried to bite, tear and eat me
soon came the quack quacky purr
of the wire holding bite bone
---ahhhhhhhh I am surrounded by
deadly cute biting guinea pig bone
and then I woke up
I looked around
it was a dream

My Dog

I have a fluffy dog
her fur is long and silky
she feels just like a frog
when I go to our garden
she jumps like a rabbit
and creeps like a hog
her tail is funny because
it got cut off!
she barks and barks,
"food please!"
she is good at begging but
do not give her too much
she will come back
begging "feed me!"
