A frog lives inside of me

it likes flies dipped in chocolate

and surfing

and having fun

it likes to hop and hold my dreams

it gives me strength

and ribbits

frog how do you make that noise?

I am a monkey

I live in a tree

I like the ice

but too bad for me

cause I live in a tree

I don't like bananas

cause I have a secret

I actually eat my fleas

what do you eat?

My Inner Horse

A horse lives inside me

she tells me not to give up

not to worry about it

that I am as pretty as a rose

she helps me jump high

and run fast

she encourages me to do my best

and inspires my projects

she sounds heavenly

her snorts are a melody

my inner horse is so beautiful

with her white fur coat

so I ask her

why do you always stare at me

with big blue eyes

My Magnificent

A fox has a den deep inside

it keeps me sly and sassy

I am black and fluffy

I hear her on a quiet summer day

what do you eat fox?

My Bear

A bear lives in my heart

I had a dream of him last night

he was amazingly beautiful

he tells me what to love

and what to hate

the bear makes me scary

he roars ever so loud

he gives me power   over my life

I want to ask him

what he would look like

out here

Un-Destroyable

I am the water in the ocean
the small puddle that you splash

you step and I
bounce back
unbreakable
un-destroyable
here always

you ingest me
splash me
swim in me
contaminate me
but I'm still there

fire cannot touch me
air only moves me
Earth is lost when I come

destroying cities
giving shelter to many
and covering our planet
with my body

I am impervious
to many
Air
Earth
Fire

nothing can hold
me hostage
I am water

My Element

I am a natural pool in spring and summer

I am big and I am small

the world poisons me and rarely cleans me

I am created by sky and created by a water hose

that a small child holds in its soft sunburned hands

I help your quenching thirst in a cool glass of homemade lemonade

I drool through your multi-colored bathing suit

I soak on your skin

I make a difference and I come in many shapes and forms

I freeze in the winter and people sculpt me, skate on me

and make snowballs for bundled up kids playing on the forever white

when the earth my mother makes a sudden move

I can destroy entire cities

although I don't mean to

I make waves for people to surf on

and I create the scenery for artists and photographers

I wash away your troubles when you are sad

I clean that spaghetti sauce off your plate at dinnertime

I love the earth, the air, and the fire

they are my family

water

Traveler

I am the dust that flies up in the wind
the annoying kind that gets in your eyes
the constant grime on your floors
that you try to get rid of without success
the potholes that make your car jolt around
the clouds that rise behind you
when you run on a dirt road

I am the soil at the top of a hill
drained of all my nutrients
making me tan colored

the film of fine sand covering
rocks at the beach

I am the mountains and hills
that make the landscape you love

the valleys that help you grow your food
the muck that holds your diamonds hostage

I am always there
even when water washes me away
air erodes me
and fire burns me
I just travel...a lot

I am the green planet that is small

Sun

I am the match that flicks to become a flaming toothpick
without me you would not have warmth
I am the fire dancer's challenge
I am the angry mountain that shoots out a burning hot river
I am the light that guides you out of a cave
I am the sun
someday I will go out
it was the way the creator created me
that 's the way it has to be
enjoy the time
enjoy the warmth
enjoy the sun as much as possible

Earth

I am earth

I am also the rocks that you step over

I am the greens you will no longer eat

I am the mountains that fall on you

I am the muck in your toes

I am the stars that you try to count

I am earth

I am Earth

I am Earth
gigantic green mountains made of clay and dirt
volcanoes erupt from me
the burning lava floats all the way up to the stars
and melts them and cooks them
like the stove cooks eggs back on earth
the cities grow with traffic and sky scrapers
soon the earth quakes will come
wipe down the whole thing
and after a while it will just be quiet
the cool spring morning
quiet and peaceful and fresh
the soil   rich and precious
the dusty valleys sparkling with diamonds
and emerald green filling the earth
and that is what I am

Evil Water

I am the stream of water that smacks you in the face in a water gun battle

I am the acid rain that burns through your flesh

I am the drool that comes out of your mouth when you sleep

I am the hail the size of minivans landing on old ladies

I am the fountain that sprays you in the eye

I am the title wave   that kills your family

I am the evil water

The Sparkle In Your Eye

I am the earth that keeps you alive
I am what brings you health
I give you food
I let you climb my mountains
I let you plant seeds in me
I let you dig in my mountains to find my diamonds
I am the hills you put my cows on
I am the valley that you live in
I am the trees that you build houses with
when I get cold I shiver up earthquakes
I am a star that will always burn
I am that little sparkle in your eye
