Drums In The Sky

the evening descends across the jungle, cooling humid heat
The clouds cry
Thunder falls like drumbeats
Life hums a constant note
The rain sustains the jungle
The jungle sustains life
Pounding…the thunder drums a sacred song
The birds drink of the flowers
The flowers drink of the rain
They are one
Pounding…the thunder drums a sacred song
Ancient bulwarks, the mountains defy age
Dauntless sentinels, watching…
The tears of the clouds caress stony faces
And wash behemoth beards of moss and vine
Pounding…sanctified music
The thunder is the jungle's heartbeat
Entranced in life I wander
The jungle is complete
The rain lets me ponder
Pounding…an arcane ode to life

Curse

Once again it had caught sight
The fable that was found
Though once a ship entered threw a bight
Legend it was crowned

The story starts of many men
Who had seen it by sea
They ran across the sandy beach and
Danced all night with glee

They drank all of the streams it had
Cut down all the trees
Killed all the fish, laid on the sand
And threw all their bottles in the seas

They all sang in celebration
Knowing what would come
They'd sell all the land to anyone
And their workdays will be done

But when they stepped aboard their ship
A pain swelled in their heart
All the love they once had
Was now missing a part

The land they were on grew in height
Causing sea to fall
Their ship which once was on sea
Was now not useful at all

Though one man claims to have lived
From this story that was told
He says he won't go back
Even if you pay him gold

It's Kinda Funny

It's kinda funny how a guy can make you feel,
How they can tell you they loved you
And make it sound for real

It's kinda funny how you'll be on the phone
Late, past eleven
Talking to your so-called angel from heaven

It's kinda funny how you feel that you can trust him
Without worry or a care
But then you feel your heart slowly beginning to tear

It's kinda funny how,
Once your heart is torn,
You begin to see your angel's horns

It's kinda funny how you remember all your fun little
Dates
But then again…

It's kinda funny how you realize
That you fall for all the fakes

The Last Winter Rain

She drowned in sorrow
Pushed by her own fate

She wanted to love bravely, free from fear
Unburdened from the though of a loss so great she couldn't bear

Her parents' rest prematurely up on a hill overlooking the bay
Her sadness dug a hole deep within her soul that nothing could take away

At fifteen she found a boy who would love her
And replace the man up on the hill

She later understood that her father left years before he came to rest
Overlooking the bay

She had spent a childhood mourning the loss of a man who was never
There, long before that fateful day

They told her with time the sorrow she felt would surely end

Still her heart could not fathom,
Her mind could not comprehend

A sorrow so great being wisped away by the hands of time
Years have passed and still she searches for the sense of belonging
She can't find
She has surrendered to the past
She has surrendered to the pain

The memories was over her like the last winter rain

Leaving nothing but a cold, cold shill behind
She seeks for the warmth she cannot find

She wants to love bravely, free from fear
Although she is not there, she is near

A Tear

Tears are like raindrops
Tears are sadness of the mind
Tears are another step of sadness
Tears are the waterfalls of life
But they can run out
Tears can mean many different things
Tears relieve the heart and soul
They hit the ground like thunder and
Scatter the ground like glass
Tears can also mean away to a person's heart

You Broke My Heart

We loved one another
Like no on or any other
Until one day when he was weeping
I wanted to know that secret he was keeping
Coming to his house, I'm sure he doesn't know
Hope he doesn't mind, I really need to talk, though.
I peer through the window seeing if he's awake
When I suddenly collapsed with a horrible heartache
I burst into tears as I watched him there
Cannot believe he doesn't even care
Lying on my boyfriend's bed was my best friend
I can't believe this is why it's coming to an end
I cannot take it anymore
My best friend is a whore
Can't believe that she could be such a witch
Didn't thing she was that big of a bitch
Loved him, oh I did so much
Knew that we were losing our sense of touch
I really hate this world as I run to my house
Hiding in my closet quiet as a mouse
Hop my mom doesn't hear
Though I think she will, I fear
When I take this knife hold it up to my wrist
And give my wrist just one quick twist
As I scream in pain
I can feel the veins
Mother walks in to see what's the matter
She screams in horror as she sees me shatter
All I can see is her fading away
As I sit here and pray that he will care someday

Perfect?

Perfect is a word, which means in a state of undiminished or highest excellence, without defect, flawless. Why is there such a word like perfect when nothing is perfect? Is the word any use to use or is there something perfect like the word perfect? Or is perfect just an expression for something that is almost perfect? Does anyone even know what perfect is? Does anyone even know what I'm trying to say? Why am I writing about the word perfect? It's not like I'm supposed to know. Am I? I guess what I'm trying to say is that all I want to know is what does perfect really mean? Is it a word in disguise??? Is it supposed to mean something else? Ah, just forget about it! Maybe some things are meant to remain a mystery.
