Wonder

Wonder is the scent of my moms home made pies.
Wonder is the sight of a tiger about pounce on ifs prey,
Wonder is how I got here from a different country,
Wonder is the sound of a wolf howling at the moon.
Wonder is what makes people write poetry,
Wonder is the taste of a homemade cookie
Wonder is the sight of a rabbit hopping happily through the garden
with a carrot in its mouth.

I Imagined

I imagined that Santa was my brother
and I got any present in the world

I imagined that my house was a cave filled with bone pieces,
and they were all my bones

I imagined that the one I loved dated my teacher
I imagined that my sister was a dangerous dragon

I imagined that my dad was an ugly princess in a pink palace

I imagined that I was myself ~ me ~ Kameryn Schat

In My Dreamtime

In my dreamtime, I am the person who does not have any friends.
I walk through the halls with no one to stand beside.
It's like no one cares about me.
I am like a lonely wolf walking through the woods.
Everyone looks at me, like I have nothing to do with them.
I am the owl that hides in the trees all alone.
But I am not something that you would want.
My eyes are as black as the night.
I have darkness in my heart.

Touched Love

I touched your soft fur and I loved you right away
I touched you and you were as soft as silk
I touched your cheetah ears and they were silk
You touched my heart, then broke it when you died

Life

Life is a miracle when you win a lottery,
Life is a coral reef full of fishes and dolphins,
Life is going under the waves as you surf.
Life is a geyser lowing out gallon of joy,
Life is going on an adventure to the seashore full of shells.
Life is a field of blossom and tulips,
Life is you and everybody around you,
Life is dangerous when you are all alone in the woods,
Life is unfair when you get hurt by a bully every day.
Life is music running around your head,
Life is safer when you always have a friend with you
when you go on a journey.

Shattered

Shattered glass among the hard floor.
I am in a dark corner, curled in a ball.
My shield isn't here to protect me from getting a shattered heart.
I feel haunted deep down
and deep down is rising up and I show my feelings.
The memories are dark and weary, filled with sorrow.
My soul soars away and I wake up and shatter has vanished.

You Are

You are the wind rushing right though me
You are the waves of the ocean splashing
You are the flower ready to bloom but can't
You are the sun shining on the golden sand
You are the volcano ready to explode on the green grass
You are the moon shining like a silver bird
