Sometimes In My Heart

Sometimes in my heart I feel like
       nobody is listening.
Sometimes I'm like stuck in a dark rainy tunnel
       and can never get out.
Sometimes in my heart I also feel loved.

In my dreamtime I am the Queen of England
   and when I go in the great halls
         everyone bows.
In my dreamtime I am a bird floatinf in hot summer air.
I am a polar bear swiming in icy cold waters.
I am a coyote howling in the moonlight.
I am a black horse giving birth.
I am a cheetah running as fast as lightening.
I am a panda bear chewing on bamboo.
I am a scoop of ice cream waiting to be eaten.
I am a mouse running away from a hungry cat.
In my dreamtime I am a daisy
                   waiting to be watered.

I'm scared when I take a reading test
and I don't do good.
I'm scared if I break a bone.
I'm scared of what teacher I have next year.
I'm scared what my hair looks like.
I'm scared someone finds out who I like.
I'm scared if I don't pass my reading goal.
I get scared if someone sneaks up on me.
I'm scared if I did not get picked in the raffle.
I'm scared of getting teased.
I get scared if someone tried to steal me.

A best friend is a sister you never had.
A best friend is having someone to lean on

          when they're scared.
A best friend is someone you can trust
           to keep your secrets.
A best friend is someone
           who defends you.

A best friend makes up excuses for you.
A best friend is someone who tells you
            to never give up.
